Paint-a-Bowl for Empty Bowls 11/25/2018

Come and paint a bowl that has been hand created just for our Kingfield Empty Bowls Event – we just need YOU!  Supplies are provided, it is free and all are welcome!

No experience is needed; recommended for ages 6 and up (ages under 12 must be accompanied by an adult); one bowl per person.

Your artwork will be on display at the 2019 Kingfield Empty Bowls Event, February 7th, benefiting Nicollet Square which provides housing and support for young adults who have experienced homelessness or been in the foster care system. Calling all Ceramic Artists to a Pottery Throwdown!

8 Wheels will be available and clay is provided for Saturday throwing and Sunday bowl-trimming. Please RSVP to reserve your wheel to . We will reserve a couple wheels for drop-in artists, as well, but a reservation guarantees you a seat at a wheel!

Artists, please donate your time and talents to help us create soup-sized bowls for the annual Kingfield Empty Bowls Event, benefitting Nicollet Square, which provides stable home to 42 formerly homeless youth in our neighborhood!

In partnership with Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park who is donating the space, equipment, and kiln time.

KFNA GOTV Post-Election Returns Watching Party!

It’s an Election Returns Watching Party with your Kingfield Neighbors!  We’ll be celebrating our awesome turnout at MLK Park and the TVs will be turned to national networks to watch the returns all across the country. We’ll even have an emcee updating you on local races.!

Tell your server you’re there to support Kingfield’s Get Out The Vote and Harriet’s Inn will donate 15% of your tab to your neighborhood association, KFNA, to support our GOTV efforts.

Come raise a glass and celebrate democracy with your neighbors!

Kingfield’s All-Day Polling Party 2019!

It’s the traditional Kingfield Votes Election Day Polling Party at MLK Park, 4055 Nicollet Ave. S. on Tuesday November 6! All Kingfield residents are invited… and you know you will all be there to vote that day SO… you might as well stop by, join the party, and have a bite to eat with us!
Invite your Neighbors!

Look for three tents on all sides of the park building–if the weather is chilly we will have the fire pits blazing!

This party will be fueled all day by a bunch of great neighbors and a handful of fabulous local businesses including hot coffee and tasty treats from The Lowbrow, Butter Bakery Cafe, Sun Street Breads, Royal Grounds, Bruegger’s Bagels Station 27,  and Victor’s 1959 Cafe!

Support KFNA & our GOTV efforts Tonight at The Lowbrow!

We are super excited to see lots of Kingfield neighbors tonight at The Lowbrow to support KFNA and Kingfield Votes, our GOTV effort! Pop in for a burger or a beer and 10% goes to KFNA…also remember you can pop in for GOTV Block Captain training from 4-5 PM and that beer you drink will be on us! The night will close out with trained Block Captains raising a glass (on us!) to outreach and connecting with neighbors in this final week before the election!

The 15th Kingfield Empty Bowls was a big success! The 15th Kingfield Empty Bowls was a big success! A HUGE thank you to the 750 people who attended, the many volunteers, partner nonprofits, donating restaurants and ceramics studios, accordionist Thor Anderson, neighborhood baking volunteers, and Judson Memorial for being the most gracious host. KFNA will be donating back a record amount to trustincmpls, Beacon Interfaith Housing Collaborative, and tcfoodjustice. Stay tuned for updates on how to get involved for year 16!

And right now, that togetherness matters.

On Sunday, February 8, neighbors will gather for Kingfield Empty Bowls—sharing soup, choosing handmade bowls, and supporting local nonprofits fighting food injustice and increasing housing access in our community. 

It’s about sharing space, being together, and taking care of one another in small but meaningful ways.

We’d love to see you there.
