Minneapolis residents have 3 options to participate in the DFL Contactless Caucus in 2022

February 1, 2022 By Sarah

Sign up for the DFL caucus in Minneapolis online any time up to 9 pm central on Tuesday, February 1, 2022.

The 2022 DFL Caucus in the City of Minneapolis is entirely contactless. That means you don’t have to risk Covid contact to make your voice heard and fully participate! Sign up here.
1. Sign up online. The Minneapolis DFL single, comprehensive, online form is available at minneapolisdfl.org/2022.
2. Sign up with a paper or PDF form and email it to your Senate District Chair. Residents may sign and scan a completed non-attendee form (e.g., Adobe PDF scan or photograph of the completed form), type all information including their signature on the form, or may indicate in the email that the email shall constitute their signature to the completed form attached to the email. You can find your organizing unit Senate District contact information on caucus.dfl.org. If you already know your Senate District, you can email the attached non-attendee form to the appropriate email below. Emails must be sent by 9 pm central on Tuesday, February 1, 2022:

·       Senate District 61 DFL: Chair Michael Waldrop

·       Senate District 62 DFL: Chair David Tilsen

·       Senate District 63 DFL: Chair Amy Livingston

 3. Sign up in-person at drop-off locations. Residents may sign up with paper forms at Minneapolis-area drop-off locations from 6:30 pm to 9 pm central on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. Residents can find their neighborhood precinct’s drop-off location at caucus.dfl.org.

Can I submit resolutions like I would on caucus night in-person?

Yes, most definitely! The Minneapolis DFL single, comprehensive, online sign-up form allows an unlimited number of resolution (policy idea) forms to be submitted online. A link to the blank PDF resolution form is available in the Minneapolis DFL online sign-up form.

How are delegates elected in a Contactless Caucus?

If there are more precinct delegate slots available than sign-ups for a given convention, everybody gets to become a delegate. For precincts where there is no contest for the election of delegates or alternates, those who have indicated the desire to be elected shall be declared elected.

If there are fewer precinct delegate slots than sign-ups for a given convention, delegates will be chosen by lot (randomly) with equal division based on self-identified gender identity. For precincts where there is a contest for the election of delegates or alternates, the Organizing Unit shall schedule public Zoom or other virtual meetings to draw lots where candidates and others may attend to observe.

Help KFNA Close Out 2021 on Strong Note; Make a Year-End Donation Today

December 27, 2021 By Sarah

Dear Kingfield Neighbor –  Understanding the Kingfield Neighborhood Association is as easy as ABC: KFNA is Always Building Community.  Whether that is through discussions and exploration of hard issues like safety and racism, working side by side to improve our neighborhood, or through events where we celebrate being together, KFNA knows that community building work we do is the foundation of community safety.

The Kingfield Neighborhood Association connects neighbors to each other and to important actions and activities that help you amplify your voice in our city. For this work, we are asking for your donation to support KFNA today. The Kingfield Neighborhood Association (KFNA) needs your financial support for the work we do in our neighborhood.  Due to changes that City of Minneapolis made in how funds are distributed to neighborhood associations, KFNA has a $30,000 budget gap this year.

What would your life be like without your neighborhood association?

  • Less Informed? Who else would host civic discussions with stakeholders on both sides debating the issues, to make sure you are educated and engaged in making change in your community?
  • Lonelier? Who else would organize Nicollet Open Streets, all-day Election Polling Party, and Light It Up Kingfield as fun, local activities, simply as a way for you to build relationships to your neighbors and be out on our streets in neighborhood streets?
  • More Isolated? Who else would collect and send you a weekly e-news of everything going on in Kingfield neighborhood and work with block clubs to provide up-to-date public safety tips?
  • Quieter? And who would organize your musically gifted neighbors into street parties like PorchFest and On Thursdays We Sing so we share and see the talents of all our neighbors?

A gift of any size at this time of year helps us close our year-end funding gap. A sustaining monthly donation of $10 or $20 helps us plan for the future.

Donations can be made by:

  • Visit GiveMN.org/organization/Kingfield-Neighborhood-Association
  • Texting ‘KFNA’ to 44-321
  • Mailing a check to our address at the South Nicollet Action Center, c/o KFNA,
3537 Nicollet Avenue South, MPLS 55408

Thank you!

Your KFNA Board of Directors:

Chris DesRoches, KFNA President, 44th & Grand

Sarah Tschida, Vice President, 36th & Pillsbury

BJ Titus, Secretary, 38th & 1st

Kingfield has GREAT voter turn out–so let’s help Ward 5 increase their turn out too!

October 14, 2021 By Sarah

Help the League of Women Voters Send Voting Reminder Postcards

Action: Help send 2400 informational postcards to registered voters in Ward 5’s zip code 55411. We are focusing on this area because of lower-than-average voter turnout.

You can help by addressing postcards, adding a short personal note, stamping and mailing. We will provide a mailing list and the postcards. If you would like a stack of postcards (minimum 25) and addresses, sign up via Sign Up Genius: Click here for Postcards. The postcards should be mailed to voters by October 26. If you are interested in this activity, but don’t wish to donate the stamps ($10 for 25 postcard stamps), please let us know. Email Judy Zaunbrecher at  with questions.  Judy will email you with additional instructions once you sign up.
