Caucus and Convention Info Session #1

Register here: http://bit.ly/info-sessions-april

Kingfield neighbors have learned all about the 2021 Minneapolis caucus + convention process so you don’t have to! Just join our info session to learn about how to participate in the (virtual!) process this year. Nonpartisan – information from all parties will be discussed and shared.

Also…

If you like the idea of neighbors helping neighbors to learn about upcoming cnadidates and elections….Join KFNA’s Election Education Team!

Sign up here to indicate your interest in serving on a community team forming this Spring whose task will be to bring information on the various Candidates and Races to Our Community. Whether through debates, interviews, or written information, the job of this Team will be to help educate other neighbors about the people, the process, the charter amendments,  as well as the dates and details of this year’s election.

By filling out this form you are not committing to participating but rather expressing your interest. Residents will be contacted later this spring to discuss the races and next steps. If you have questions please contact Sarah Linnes-Robinson, KFNA Executive Director, at .

Preconstruction Meeting for Grand Avenue South (between 48th and Lake Street)

The City of Minneapolis will be reconstructing Grand Avenue. The scope of the project will include full removal of the existing street, utility upgrade, subgrade correction, new pavement, curb and gutter, driveways, sidewalks, signal upgrades, trees and sod.  The reconstruction will impact local access, parking, and pedestrian paths.  The project limits are shown on the attached map. The construction is proposed to begin in late April or early May and continue through the 2022 construction season. Dates are subject to change. We recommend signing up for project update newsletter to stay informed on the latest project news.

Public Works staff will hold a virtual meeting to:

  • Provide an overview of the construction schedule
  • Discuss construction impacts
  • Answer questions and concerns

Please visit the project webpage for more information on how to attend the virtual meeting and to sign-up for the project newsletter sent using GovDelivery. Project webpage
