Save the Date: Empty Bowls 2025

December 12, 2024 By Josh Martin

Tackle Hunger: Attend the 14th Annual Empty Bowls Meal

Empty Bowls brings our community together every “SOUPer Bowl Sunday” to raise funds for local nonprofits while sharing a meal of soup, bread, and dessert donated by local restaurants. For a suggested donation of $25 you select a handmade bowl donated by local artists to eat out of and then take home.

This year’s event will be held on Sunday, February 9 at Judson Church, 4101 Harriet Ave, from 10 AM – 2 PM. This communal meal raises funds for affordable housing and hunger-solution work in our community. [Read more…]

August 27, 2024 By Josh Martin

Continuing a tradition started in 2012, KFNA will have THREE welcoming tents on the MLK Park grounds on Election Day. It takes over 100 volunteers to make the Polling Party happen, and we can’t do it without great neighbors like you.

Host a Non-Partisan WE ARE KINGFIELD WE VOTE AT MLK PARK yard sign

August 23, 2024 By Josh Martin

If you have property in Kingfield, you can host KFNA’s non-partisan Get Out The Vote (GOTV) sign in your yard to serve as a reminder to vote on November 5 this year!

Starting in early September, volunteers will place this sign in your yard and/or alley, and will retrieve it after the election.

KFNA is proud to have been reusing these signs since 2017 for every November election. Just like your license plates, we keep adding a sticker over the old date!

A HUGE thank you to the 750 people who attended, the many volunteers, partner nonprofits, donating restaurants and ceramics studios, accordionist Thor Anderson, neighborhood baking volunteers, and Judson Memorial for being the most gracious host. KFNA will be donating back a record amount to trustincmpls, Beacon Interfaith Housing Collaborative, and tcfoodjustice. Stay tuned for updates on how to get involved for year 16!

Kingfield has always shown up for each other. 💛 An Kingfield has always shown up for each other. 💛
And right now, that togetherness matters.

On Sunday, February 8, neighbors will gather for Kingfield Empty Bowls—sharing soup, choosing handmade bowls, and supporting local nonprofits fighting food injustice and increasing housing access in our community.

It’s about sharing space, being together, and taking care of one another in small but meaningful ways.

We’d love to see you there.
