Dining Out for Life Coming April 25!

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner options at various local restaurants including:

Butter, Blackbird, Café Ena, Curran’s, Kyatchi, The Lowbrow, Nighthawks, Victor’s 1959

Dining Out For Life® is an annual fundraising event involving the generous participation of volunteers, corporate sponsors and restaurants. The concept is simple: Restaurants donate a generous percent of their sales to a local HIV service organization, and the local HIV service organization fills participating restaurants with diners.

Community Sap-Boiling / Maple Syrup Cook-off Party

Kingfield’s first communal sap-tap culminates with a community sap boiling party to make our own maple syrup!  You can be part of the slow-burning fun (yes, we expect it to take much of the day!)

7 neighbors partnered together to collect sap from their individual trees–resulting in almost 40 gallons, which we will boil down outside the park for all to see and taste!  Come on down and watch the sap boil! Or volunteer to take on a cooking shift: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0849a8a62ea1fe3-community

KFNA Board Meeting

Join the KFNA Board of Directors as they discuss matters of community interest.  April will bring the 5thPrecinct’s quarterly crime update at the beginning of the meeting.  After that will follow a Community Forum, which is a chance for anyone to bring their questions or concerns to the community volunteers who serve on the KFNA Board.

For time on the agenda or questions contact KFNA Executive Director Sarah Linnes-Robinson at .

Soup & Snow Emergency a.k.a. Empty Bowls 2.0 a.k.a. Why Fight It?

So…remember Kingfield Empty Bowls this year? Lots of snow, right? So much snow that some people couldn’t attend, right? So much snow that we had a bit of soup leftover, right? So let’s do the whole event AGAIN this weekend … and just to totally give into this whole winter-thing let’s do it OUTSIDE!

Facebook Event Page

Join us in Butter Bakery Cafe‘s Back 40 (aka the vacant lot behind Butter on 37th Street) where we’ll be heating up leftover soup and serving it for your sipping pleasure. Bring a pocketful of donations for Nicollet Square, of course, and some spare change in case you want to dip into Butter and warm up with a treat or some cocoa.

The entire Back Lot will be out playground for the afternoon to create a snow village in so wear your snowgear and dress the kids for some wet wintery fun! Thanks to Beacon Interfaith Housing Collaborative for providing us with the land to frolic on (as well as bringing Nicollet Square to our community.)
