IF This is what You Love About Kingfield, Please Show Us!

May 17, 2022 By Sarah

This is Kingfield Neighborhood’s signature event and 1000’s of community members come out to enjoy our amazing neighborhood, which overflows with so much talent. Neighbors can frequently be heard saying “THIS is what I love about Kingfield!”, as they fill the streets while free music fills the air.

Well, now is where you can SHOW your LOVE for PorchFest and keep it, and the Kingfield Neighborhood Association, strong into the future. Donate now and encourage others you know who value this great community and amazing event to also support it!

For anyone who missed this event the last the past 8 years and is wondering, “What is the heck is PorchFest?” Well, PorchFest is an evening of music, community, and summer! On a single summer evening, musicians will perform acoustic music at their respective homes or at a porch location donated by a neighbor, while others stroll through the neighborhood, enjoying the sounds and talent of their neighbors.

Musicians and hosts sign up by end of the day May 16h… and everybody save the date for June 16 for a night of community talent and fun!

POSTPONED Tonight: Grand Avenue Walk & Talk

April 14, 2022 By Sarah

Dear Neighbors–

The weather is so windy that it is going to make it too hard to walk and hear each other tonight.  We are delaying this walk until next Thursday April 21st, same time and same place. Meet at 7 PM on the corner of 40th and Grand NEXT week and we will walk south to 46th and enjoy the avenue with representatives from Minneapolis Public Works.
If you have any questions or want to confirm your attendance please contact  and put Grand Avenue Walk & Talk in the subject line.
Thank you!

Join KFNA for the 1st Annual Pancake Breakfast!

March 12, 2022 By Sarah

—Made Even Better with Kingfield’s Very Own Maple Syrup!

Saturday March 19, 9-10:30 AM at MLK Park (outdoor, fireside dining!)

Bring the family down to the park to watch the sap boil and enjoy a good ol’ fashioned pancake breakfast, served with sausage (pork), fruit, juice and coffee! Learn how maple syrup is made—and enjoy some of Kingfield’s own syrup from 2021 on your pancakes! Proceeds from the breakfast benefit both KFNA and MLK Park programming, partners in this community Sap Tap which is in its 4th year of seasonal celebration!

Tickets are available here!

So what is a Community Sap Tap? Neighbors register at the park to pick up a tree tapping kit and instructions on how to tap their personal maple (or box elder!) tree. Then all the participants bring the sap to the park and we collectively boil it down to syrup, and then share the results! Kits are gone for this year…but join us for pancakes, learn about the process, and plan to join KFNA in this fun seasonal activity again next spring!
